US Embassy leaves Israel out of video promoting Trump’s visit to the region

The Times and the Guardian report on the Israeli Prison Service’s video allegedly showing the leader of the Palestinian hunger strike Marwan Barghouti eating biscuits in his cell. The Telegraph notes the comments of Israel’s Minister for Public Security Gilad Erdan: “Barghouti is a murderer and hypocrite who urged his fellow prisoners to strike and suffer while he ate behind their backs.” Palestinians have dismissed the video as “fabrication”.

The Telegraph reports that hundreds of Syrian rebel fighters and their families were evacuated from Damascus yesterday, with many transported to Idlib. The Telegraph notes that the al-Assad regime now controls all but six districts of Damascus.
