“Even this past weekend, while Iran continued to receive more and more concessions from the world powers, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani led a hate march through the streets of Tehran as the masses shouted ‘death to America,’ and ‘death to Israel.’ If, even after these unequivocal calls for destruction, the negotiators conceded, it seems that there are some people who are willing to reach an agreement at any price—and there is no way and no desire to avoid this bad agreement.

“In any event, we did not make a commitment to refrain from reaching an agreement or to prevent an agreement, certainly not one that the world powers are willing to sign at any price. We made a commitment to prevent Iran from arming with nuclear weapons—and indeed, if not for our efforts over the course of the years, Iran could have long since armed itself with atom bombs.”
