– “The nations of Europe and of course the U.S. understand that Iran is not a candidate for voluntary negotiations on curbing its own nuclear project. The success of the dialogue hinges on military, financial and diplomatic pressure. Tehran understands only the language of power, and not just the military kind.

No one in the enlightened world has any doubt that Iran’s aim is to manufacture a nuclear bomb. On Monday, the Europeans will convene to discuss imposing sanctions on Iran’s central bank — a real blow that has been giving Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad nightmares — and the world’s arsenal also includes a potential boycott of Iranian oil.

Despite all that, the Europeans have declared that they want dialogue; that if the regime is interested in a suitable agreement, this would be negotiable, even with France, the most aggressive and most practical of the continent’s states.”
